Patronus App

Understand device protection, traces, findings, and local agent discovery.

The Patronus App protects supported AI interactions on macOS and Windows through traffic inspection, security analysis, and policy. Evidence remains available for review on the device.

Set up your first protected interaction →

  • Check protection status. The app and tray show whether protection is active or needs attention.
  • Follow a trace. Review related requests, responses, tool activity, audits, and policy decisions.
  • Review findings. Investigate unknown AI connections, unknown tools, threat warnings, policy blocks, and data exposure.
  • Manage local agent assets. Review discovered skills and MCP configurations, including changes that need attention.
  • Apply policy. Set how matching activity is allowed, redacted, blocked, or presented for approval where supported.

The active mode determines how detector results are handled. In Monitoring mode, detector-derived blocks without explicit policy can appear as flagged activity; explicit blocking policies still apply.

In Protection mode, a blocking decision follows its enforcement setting: it may stop the operation or request approval.

These modes are separate from the network route. Extension and Regular describe how traffic reaches Patronus; see VPN and proxy compatibility.

Protection applies only to traffic on a supported inspection path. Running status does not prove that a particular app, container, or pinned TLS connection is inspected. Verify the interaction in Traces and check compatibility and inspection limits.

An enrolled device also contributes to organization discovery. Local findings remain available on that device.
